Who we are
Confirm Loan is a loan consultancy platform. We help you prepare and submit a loan application, verify your identity and view loan options from lending partners. We are not a lender. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Confirm Loan, and “you” means anyone who visits our website or uses our services.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to process your application:
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email address and password (stored only in a securely hashed form).
- Identity details: your PAN, your Aadhaar number for OTP-based verification, and your date of birth.
- Personal and contact details: gender, address, city, state and pincode.
- Employment and financial details: employer or business information, income, existing EMIs, expenses and existing loans.
- Bank details: account holder name, bank name, account number, IFSC and account type.
- Usage details: basic technical information such as device type, browser and IP address, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, including verifying your mobile number by OTP.
- To verify your identity and bank account.
- To assess your application and show loan options that may be available for your profile.
- To share your application with a lending partner when you choose to proceed with an option.
- To share your application with our lending partners when you authorise it.
- To send updates about your application and respond to your questions.
- To prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and improve our service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Identity and bank details
Your full Aadhaar number is used only for the verification request and is not stored after verification. We keep the verification result, a reference from the verification provider and the last four digits. PAN and bank account numbers are shown masked everywhere in the service (for example, XXXX XXXX 4821), and where storage is required they are kept encrypted.
Bank account verification uses a small verification transaction to confirm that the account belongs to you. It is not a fee and is not a loan approval.
Who we share it with
- Lending partners: when you choose to proceed with a loan option, we share the details the lender needs to assess and process your application.
- Verification providers: to verify your PAN, Aadhaar and bank account.
- Service providers: such as hosting, SMS, email and payment providers, who process information on our behalf under contract.
- Authorities: when required by law or to protect against fraud.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to complete your application, resolve disputes and meet legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Access is limited to people and systems that need it, passwords are hashed, sensitive fields are encrypted, and verification and login attempts are rate-limited. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password and OTPs private. We will never ask you for an OTP over a phone call.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law in India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- access a summary of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent (this may mean we cannot continue your application);
- erase your information, where we are not required to keep it by law;
- raise a grievance about how your information is handled.
